The Ranger R76LT is engineered for general repair shops and high-volume tire centers that demand fast, reliable tire changes without unnecessary complexity. This professional-grade tilt-back tire changer simplifies operations while delivering exceptional performance on passenger vehicles, light trucks, and SUVs. By focusing on essential features and eliminating specialized add-ons designed for run-flats and extreme low-profile applications, the R76LT delivers exactly what busy shops need: speed, ease of use, and consistent results.

With an internal clamping range up to 30", a robust 3 HP electric/pneumatic drive system, and TurboBlast™ bead seating, this tire changer is built to handle the toughest daily workloads. The tilt-back tower design increases ground clearance for easier wheel loading and automatically returns the pneumatic tool head to the correct position for like sets of tires—eliminating time-consuming manual adjustments and dramatically improving turnaround times.

Why Choose a Tilt-Back Tire Machine?

While swing-arm models are popular for saving floor space, they require constant duck head adjustment between different wheel sets. The Ranger R76LT's tilt-back tower design adjusts to the size of the wheel automatically, making operation significantly faster and more intuitive than traditional swing-arm styles. Time is money, and a tilt-back isn't just a convenience—it's a profit multiplier that increases your shop's efficiency and helps you serve more customers per day.

The R76LT features a large turntable with 10" to 30" internal clamping capacity and 8" to 26" external clamping capacity. A sturdy body, rigid 45 mm hexagonal vertical shaft, and hardened-steel horizontal outrigger support arm eliminate flex during all tire service procedures, reducing the likelihood of expensive wheels getting damaged. Bead seating and tire inflation is simple and effortless with Ranger's exclusive TurboBlast™ portable bead seating system. Ergonomic controls are sensibly placed to minimize excessive reaching, walking, or bending, keeping your technicians comfortable and productive throughout the day.

Professional-Grade Performance Features

Electric Turntable with Controlled Rotation

The proprietary electric turntable rotates secured wheels quickly and safely. Unlike some high-speed systems, this controlled rotation gives low-profile and run-flat beads more time to relax, preventing them from snapping off and tearing the tire. The balanced operation ensures smooth, vibration-free service and extends the life of the machine.

Adjustable RimGuard™ Wheel Clamps

Durable, adjustable RimGuard™ wheel clamps are made from hardened steel and expand from 10" up to 30". Internal/external multi-teeth jaws make changing a tire fast and extremely simple. Your tire changer is only as good as the clamps that hold the wheel still—Ranger's advanced positioning system lets you clamp a wheel at any point in the clamping range with total confidence and precision.

Easier Bead Lubrication and Inspection

The turntable's geometric design permits easy lubrication of the beads before breaking them. It's also easy to inspect the lower bead during mounting and inflation, giving you full visibility and control throughout the entire tire service process.

Superior Bead-Breaker Design

Our adjustable pneumatic bead breaker is the smoothest and most reliable Ranger has ever made. It pops beads in a single, swift motion in both directions. The breaker is designed with a stainless-steel cylinder body, eliminating moisture contamination and corrosion. Multiple hinges combine with a fully adjustable blade and dual-flange axle that prevents flexing and early failure. The blade can be further adjusted for larger tires and wheels, providing maximum versatility.

The enhanced bead-breaker blade features rugged box frame construction that increases mechanical strength, service life, and overall performance. A large rubber bump-stop assures a smooth return to help reduce shock loading and minimize wear on the pneumatic cylinder, guides, and associated moving parts—keeping your machine running strong year after year.

Balanced Flywheel for Extended Service Life

A perfectly balanced flywheel reduces stress on the tire changer. It keeps the machine from rumbling and shaking during operation and greatly extends the lifespan of your tire changer. Smooth operation means less fatigue for your technicians and fewer maintenance headaches for you.

Operator-Friendly Controls and Design

Simple Foot-Pedal Control

Forged steel foot pedals are lightweight, easy to depress, and extremely durable for continuous, daily use. A snap action spring return keeps the pedal bouncing spritely back to its starting position. Control valves within the foot pedal contain multi-link rod connections for non-binding plunger movement and precise bilateral control. This allows safe, two-handed operation at all times.

Tilt-Back Tower Design

Tilt-back towers increase ground clearance, which lets you load and lock larger tire and wheel combinations with ease. Removing them is just as easy. Perhaps best of all, a pneumatic tool head returns to the same position for like sets of tires. The R76LT eliminates the need to manually find the right position with every wheel, saving precious minutes with every service.

Advanced Drive Belt System

Ranger tire changers are made with a specialized drive belt that spreads wear evenly throughout the machine. Belt functionality is not weakened over time, and the entire system is protected by the tire changer chassis for worry-free operation.

Premium Components Built to Last

Stainless Steel and Aluminum Pneumatic Cylinders

Pneumatic cylinders are installed to prevent the equipment from vibrating too much. Less movement means less friction. Cushions are installed to soften the end of each stroke, preserving the seals, wear bands, and piston rods. The whole design is self-lubricating and easy to maintain, ensuring consistent performance in demanding shop environments.

Multi-Function Mount and Demount Head

The alloy-steel mount/demount head makes it easy to switch between functions without making adjustments. The tool head is gentle on tire beads when removing and replacing tires. We also include a completely nylon tool head for your convenience. The durable nylon construction is exceptionally good at protecting alloy rims and custom wheels from scratches and damage.

Spring-Assisted Tool Shaft

Horizontal outrigger support arms come on every Ranger tire changer tool head. They help protect the wheels and include a 45 mm spring-assisted hexagonal vertical tool shaft. This setup ensures the tool head remains in the position you need it set, providing rock-solid stability during mount and demount operations.

Guide Bearings for All Moving Parts

Every moving part in your tire changer is protected. Linear guide bearings put you in charge of adjusting all wheel settings, and the horizontal arm's lower roller guide helps keep an even tempo throughout the full motion of the arm. Wear and tear is practically nullified on tower guides and other sensitive components, extending service intervals and reducing maintenance costs.

Inflation and Bead Seating Systems

Foot-Controlled Tire Inflator

Our foot pedals control many functions on your tire changer, so you can safely keep two hands on your work at all times. The integrated air dump valve and inflation gauge let you release tire pressure at any time with the single push of a button. An inflation pressure regulator/limiter ensures safe, controlled inflation every time.

TurboBlast™ Bead Seating

Ranger's TurboBlast™ bead seating system is one heck of a way to safely and rapidly seat beads without damaging the tire. A single, powerful burst of air is controlled by a contoured tab that locks immediately after the air blast. This ensures stubborn beads pop into place quickly and safely, even on larger tires up to 43" diameter and 15" rim width.

Complete Shop-Ready Package

The Ranger R76LT comes equipped with everything you need to get to work right away, including a bead tool/tire iron, large soap bucket, soap brush, tool tray with bin storage, water filter, oiler/lubricator, and air regulator. This complete package ensures your technicians have all the tools at their fingertips for efficient, professional tire service.

Optional motorcycle turntable clamps are available for shops looking to service bikes. The motorcycle clamps are specially made for motorcycle wheel and tire sizes, expanding your service capabilities.
