Professional 30-Inch Tire Changing Capability
The Ranger R76ATR-L features a versatile 30-inch wheel service range, making it suitable for a broad selection of compatible passenger vehicle and light truck wheels.
Its adjustable RimGuard wheel clamping system provides two clamping configurations:
- Internal Wheel Clamping: 8" to 26"
- External Wheel Clamping: 10" to 30"
This expanded clamping range allows technicians to service a variety of wheel diameters without relying on multiple tire-changing machines. The hardened-steel clamps are designed for secure wheel positioning, while the RimGuard protective features help reduce the potential for cosmetic wheel damage during service.
110V Electric Tire Changer for Professional Shops
The Ranger R76ATR-L operates on 110V electrical power, providing a practical option for automotive repair facilities seeking professional tilt-back tire-changing capability with this voltage configuration.
Combined with its high-torque electric turntable and single-tower assist system, the R76ATR-L delivers the functionality needed for demanding daily tire service.
Before installation, verify the manufacturer's specified electrical circuit, amperage, plug configuration, and compressed air requirements to ensure compatibility with the facility.
Tilt-Back Tower for Faster Wheel Loading & Unloading
The tilt-back tower design allows the tire changer's mounting assembly to move away from the wheel during loading and unloading. This provides convenient access to the turntable and reduces the need to repeatedly reposition the mount/demount head when servicing different wheel assemblies.
For busy tire shops, this configuration can help reduce setup time between jobs while improving technician convenience and overall service bay efficiency.
The tilt-back design is particularly useful when handling larger wheels and tire assemblies that require additional clearance during positioning.
Right-Side Assist Tower for Low-Profile & Run-Flat Tires
The R76ATR-L features a right-side assist tower designed to provide additional support when servicing challenging tire-and-wheel assemblies.
Low-profile tires and run-flat tires often feature stiff sidewalls that require greater control during mounting and demounting. The assist tower helps technicians manage these difficult assemblies by supporting tire bead positioning and reducing the amount of manual force required.
For professional shops regularly working with modern performance tires, the assist system provides a valuable upgrade over basic tire-changing equipment.
Advanced Drop-Center Control & Bead Assist Tools
The Ranger R76ATR-L incorporates several specialized assist components to help technicians control difficult tire beads during service.
- Top Bead Assist Rollers: Apply controlled pressure to help guide and position the tire bead during mounting and demounting.
- Multi-Profile Traveling Drop-Center Tool: Helps keep the tire bead positioned within the wheel's drop center, reducing resistance during mounting.
- Lower Bead Lifting Disc: Assists with lifting and controlling the lower tire bead.
- Non-Marring Wheel Restraint Device: Provides additional control while helping protect wheel surfaces.
- Specialized Saucer and Roller Combination: Offers additional bead positioning support for challenging tire assemblies.
These components work together to make stiff-sidewall and low-profile tire service more manageable, helping reduce operator fatigue and improve control throughout the tire-changing process.
High-Torque Electric Turntable with Reversible Rotation
The R76ATR-L features a high-torque electric turntable drive designed to provide dependable rotational power during tire mounting and demounting operations.
Its reversible rotation allows technicians to change turntable direction when needed, providing greater flexibility when working with challenging tire beads and wheel configurations.
Controlled turntable operation helps technicians manage tire positioning and bead movement, supporting an efficient service process while reducing unnecessary strain on tire components.
TurboBlast Bead Seating System
The TurboBlast bead seating system provides an additional tool for seating tire beads during inflation.
By delivering a concentrated burst of compressed air, the system helps technicians seat compatible tire beads that may be difficult to seal using conventional inflation methods alone.
This feature is particularly useful when servicing tire assemblies that require additional airflow to establish an initial seal between the tire bead and wheel rim.
Always follow tire and wheel manufacturer inflation procedures and use appropriate safety equipment when seating tire beads.
Integrated Inflation System with Pressure Controls
The R76ATR-L includes an integrated tire inflation system designed to support controlled inflation during tire service.
Inflation-related components include:
- Tire Inflation Gauge
- Integrated Air Dump Valve
- Pressure Regulator/Limiter
- Air Regulator
- Water Filter
- Oiler/Lubricator
These components help technicians monitor inflation pressure and manage the compressed air supply used during tire-changing operations.
Protective Mount/Demount Heads & Service Accessories
The Ranger R76ATR-L includes both alloy-steel and nylon mount/demount heads to support different wheel service applications.
The nylon head provides a non-metallic contact option for compatible wheels where additional surface protection is desirable, while the alloy-steel head offers a durable alternative for appropriate tire-changing applications.
Additional supplied service accessories include:
- Alloy-Steel Mount/Demount Head
- Nylon Mount/Demount Head
- Tire Bead Tool
- Soap Bucket
- Application Brush
- Centering Cone
- Tool Tray Storage
These accessories provide useful tools for everyday tire service while helping technicians maintain an organized workstation.
Designed to Improve Shop Productivity & Reduce Operator Fatigue
The R76ATR-L combines tilt-back convenience, advanced bead assist tools, protective wheel clamping, and high-torque turntable operation to support an efficient tire-changing process.
By reducing the amount of manual effort required for difficult tire assemblies, the assist system helps technicians manage demanding jobs with greater control. The tilt-back design also simplifies wheel loading and unloading, making the machine particularly useful in busy service bays where multiple tire changes are performed throughout the day.
