This comprehensive combination package delivers exceptional value by pairing the Atlas® TC289 rim-clamp swing arm tire changer with the Atlas® WB41 computerized spin balancer. This complete tire service solution is ideal for farms, homeowners, independent repair shops, and automotive service departments of all sizes looking to expand their tire changing and balancing capabilities. Both machines operate on standard 110-volt power, feature CE approval, and are backed by the Atlas® 1-year parts warranty. Whether you're equipping a professional tire shop or setting up a personal garage, this combo provides everything you need to service passenger cars, light trucks, and large SUVs with confidence and precision.
The Atlas® TC289 wheel clamp tire changer represents the perfect balance of power, versatility, and affordability for most general automotive service departments and medium-sized tire stores. This robust tire changer excels at handling the tires on large SUVs and one-ton trucks, with a maximum tire diameter capacity of 47½ inches. The TC289 is engineered to work seamlessly with steel, aluminum, and alloy rims, protecting high-value wheels while delivering the power needed to tackle even the most challenging tire changes.
Designed to change tires on both high-priced alloy wheels and steel wheels without causing damage to the rim or tire, the Atlas® TC289 features a powerful adjustable bead breaker strategically located on the side of the machine. This pneumatic bead breaker delivers an impressive 5,500 lbs of force, designed to break even the most stubborn and rusted beads without damage to the rim. The turntable, which rotates with an impressive 885 ft/lbs of torque, holds wheels securely using 4-jaw internal/external clamping that can be covered with the standard protective plastic inserts to prevent surface damage.
These clamping jaws can be repositioned to three different positions along the turntable slides to either increase or decrease the clamping range of the Atlas® TC289, providing exceptional versatility. In outside clamping mode, the range spans from 11⅞" to 28" depending on position. For inside clamping, the range extends from 13⅞" to 29⅞". The machine even accommodates specialty applications with flip adapters—offering an ATV configuration (5" to 21" outside locking range) and a motorcycle configuration (15" to 31" outside locking range).
The Atlas® TC289 comes standard with a powerful bead blast system to quickly seat stubborn beads, plus an inflator hose adapter and pressure gauge for convenient tire inflation. The machine also includes an oiler, filter, and regulator for proper pneumatic operation, a soap reservoir for lubrication during tire mounting, and 4 black plastic rim protectors to safeguard delicate wheels. Operating on 90-110 psi air pressure (with a maximum inlet pressure not to exceed 170 PSI), this tire changer ships at 618 lbs and requires standard 110V single-phase power.
TC289 Key Capabilities:
The Atlas® WB41 is a beautifully simple yet sophisticated wheel balancer that combines advanced computerized precision with exceptional ease of use and serviceability. Each electrical component is virtually "plug and play", making repairs straightforward when replacement parts are eventually needed. The Atlas® WB41 is capable of self-diagnosing problems and displays clear error codes, empowering operators to make necessary adjustments or repairs in their own shop without waiting for expensive service technician visits. This simplicity—in both operation and repair—makes the WB41 the perfect choice for professional tire shops and independent service centers alike.
The Atlas® WB41 balances wheels that weigh up to 165 lbs with exceptional accuracy. Unlike many balancers that claim high weight capacity but can't deliver accurate readings on heavy assemblies, the WB41 truly balances—not just supports—wheels in this weight range. The balancer accommodates rim diameters from 10" to 32" for cars and light trucks, rim widths from 1½" to 20", and maximum tire diameters up to 39 inches. With its 40mm shaft and ¼ HP motor, the WB41 spins at 150 RPM to deliver balancing results with 1-gram accuracy and a weight position resolution of just 1.4 degrees.
Operators will appreciate the higher, easy-to-read display that shows measurements in either standard or metric units (grams or ounces, millimeters or inches). The balancer features automatic positioning to show exactly where to apply weights, an automatic and pedal-operated brake, and automatic start/stop when the hood is lowered or raised. The WB41 supports both static and dynamic balancing modes, offers rapid optimization (OPT) for fine-tuning, and features self-calibration to maintain accuracy over time. The machine's exceptional stability ensures reliable, repeatable unbalance readings between planes.
A large weight tray keeps your workspace organized, and the balancer requires no anchor-down installation—simply place it where you need it and start balancing. Operating on standard 110V single-phase power, the WB41 ships at 400 lbs and is ready to handle the demands of a busy professional shop. Optional truck adapter sets are available to extend capabilities even further.
