Chicago Pneumatic CPXHT-75 15 HP High Temp Refrigerated Dryer
The Chicago Pneumatic CPXHT-50 is engineered to deliver clean, dry compressed air in demanding high-temperature applications—without the need for an aftercooler. With a maximum inlet temperature of 180°F, this innovative refrigerated dryer handles hot compressed air straight from your compressor, making installation faster and more cost-effective. Designed for 10 HP compressors producing up to 50 CFM, the CPXHT-50 integrates multiple critical functions into one compact, space-saving unit: an air-cooled aftercooler, a refrigerated air dryer, a moisture separator, an electronic automatic drain, and a 3-micron coalescing filter. Powered by standard 115V/60Hz/1Ph electricity with a convenient six-foot power cord included, this dryer requires no special wiring and is ready to plug in and perform right out of the box.
The CPXHT-50 eliminates the need for multiple components and complicated plumbing. Its integrated design combines an inlet strainer precooler/reheater, a high-efficiency stainless steel and copper heat exchanger, and an ambient air condenser filter to provide reliable moisture removal and contaminant filtration. The result? Clean, dry compressed air that protects your tools, equipment, and finished products from moisture damage, rust, and oil contamination.
This high-temperature dryer achieves a dew point temperature of 50°F +/- 2°F, ensuring consistent moisture removal across a wide range of operating conditions. The unit operates efficiently at ambient temperatures from 34°F to 95°F and handles inlet air up to 180°F, making it ideal for paint booths, automotive shops, manufacturing facilities, and other environments where hot compressed air is typical.
Unlike standard refrigerated dryers that require pre-cooled air, the CPXHT-50 is specifically designed to handle hot inlet air up to 180°F. This capability makes it perfect for applications where compressed air exits the compressor at elevated temperatures, eliminating the need for expensive external aftercoolers and reducing your overall system complexity.
The dryer uses R-404A refrigerant in a robust cooling circuit with a stainless steel and copper heat exchanger, providing excellent thermal transfer and long-term durability. With a maximum operating pressure of 232 PSIG and 1/2" NPT inlet and outlet connections, the CPXHT-50 integrates seamlessly into most compressed air systems designed for 10 HP compressors.
The CPXHT-50 is engineered for straightforward installation. With standard 115V electrical requirements and a six-foot power cord included, you can connect and power up without calling an electrician. The unit's compact footprint—just 23 inches wide, 18 inches deep, and 30 inches tall—allows it to fit in confined spaces where larger dryers won't.
Maintenance is minimal thanks to the automatic electronic drain valve, which continuously removes condensed moisture without manual intervention. The built-in ambient air condenser filter protects the refrigeration system from dust and debris, and the inlet strainer prevents contaminants from entering the dryer in the first place. Routine service is limited to periodic filter checks and drain inspection, keeping your dryer running reliably year after year.
