The APX90A can handle nearly any application, with the ability to service wheels from 9" to 30" externally and 11" to 32" internally without the need for additional adapters. The machine features Grip-Max® clamps with air cylinder operation for secure, damage-free wheel clamping. Standard protectors include nylon head covers, steel head inserts, bead loosener covers, and protective tool covers to ensure maximum wheel safety. The X-shaped table design with an automatic tool head offset and tilt-back mount/demount operation further reduces the risk of wheel damage during service.
As tires and wheels get larger and heavier, they also get harder to change. With features such as a built-in wheel lift that raises heavy wheels to the 27" tabletop height, and more power helpers than any other tire changer in its class, the Coats® APX90A helps your staff work faster and more efficiently. The Robo-Arm® helper device comes standard and applies pressure to create bead lock while holding the top bead in the drop center during mounting operations. The pre-installed Robo-Roller® assists with the toughest of tires, helping keep the following bead in the drop center. Horizontal power rollers allow easy bead and rim lubrication, loosen top beads, and assist in mounting run-flat and low-profile tires with minimal operator effort.
The Duckhead® roller prevents the top bead from flipping over the Duckhead® mount head on large, stiff sidewall tires, eliminating a common frustration during difficult tire changes. Because the Coats® APX90A has evolved from the most popular family of tire changers in the United States, it is intuitive and easy to operate. Ergonomically positioned foot pedals and helper controls located at point of use minimize training time and reduce opportunities for operator error. The APX90A is powered by a robust 1.5HP air motor operating at 110-175 PSI and requiring 15 SCFM for optimal performance. The air drive system provides variable rotation speed for precise control during mount and demount operations. The machine includes a comprehensive filter/lube system to protect internal components and ensure long-term reliability.
A 5.7-gallon bead seating reservoir with inflation pressure limiter ensures safe and effective tire inflation. The unit features a 60 PSI inflation gauge and 0-300 PSI air supply gauge for complete monitoring and control of all pneumatic functions.
