The powerful pneumatic bead breaker, delivering 5,500 lbs of force, is located on the side of the machine and is designed to break even the most stubborn and rusted beads without causing damage to the rim surface.
The turntable features 4-jaw internal/external clamping that securely holds rims in place. These jaws can be covered with the included large plastic jaw covers to protect delicate finishes. The jaws are adjustable and can be moved to three different mounting positions along the turntable slide to increase or decrease the clamping range, allowing the TC229LH to handle the widest variety of tire and rim sizes—from steel, aluminum, and alloy rims with diameters ranging from 9 3/4" to 25 1/4" (depending on position and configuration).

With adjustable jaw positions and included flip adapters, the TC229LH is incredibly versatile. In standard configuration, the outside locking rim clamp accommodates wheels from 9 3/4" to 23 1/4", and inside locking from 11 5/8" to 25 1/4". When configured with flip adapters in ATV mode, the machine can handle smaller rims down to 2 7/8", and in Motorcycle configuration, it extends the range up to 26 3/8".
The TC229LH can handle tires with a maximum diameter of 39 inches and a maximum wheel width of 13 inches at the bead breaker.
