Ranger R76ATR-L Tilt-Back Tire Changer with Assist Tower
Tilt-Tower Tire Changer Design with Power Assist
When it comes to your tire repair business, the Ranger R76ATR-L has everything you need for safer, faster tire changes—even when working with tricky aluminum wheels and demanding tire profiles. Extraordinarily easy-to-use, adjustable RimGuard™ clamps, combined with a revolutionary tilt-back tower, save significant time when loading a new set of wheels. No more adjusting the duck head to match each wheel's diameter. The integrated single right-side assist tower helps you conquer low-profile and run-flat tires (anything with a stiff sidewall), holding the bead securely in the drop-center and protecting the tire from damage. A centering cone further assists with external clamping, while a specialized saucer/roller combination offers yet another line of defense against stubborn beads.
Our Most Specialized, Versatile Tire Changer
Ergonomic controls are sensibly placed to minimize excessive reaching, walking, or bending—resulting in more jobs per day and increased profits. Other time-saving features include a multi-profile traveling drop-center tool, top bead assist rollers, lower bead lifting disc, and a nylon non-marring wheel restraint device. These important tire shop tools are designed to dramatically reduce effort, increase safety, and help minimize operator fatigue. A large 30" capacity turntable features adjustable, hardened-steel RimGuard™ wheel clamps that provide an internal clamping capacity of 10"–30" and external clamping capacity of 8"–26".
Electric Turntable with High-Torque Drive
A high-torque electric turntable drive features increased speed and reversible direction for quicker tire removal and installation. Controlled speed gives low-profile and run-flat beads time to relax and reduces the risk of tire damage. The advanced drive belt system is crafted with convex sidewalls that structurally carry and disperse stress throughout the unit's structure—oil, weather, and age do not affect belt performance thanks to flex-bonded cords and flex-weave covers.
Adjustable RimGuard™ Wheel Clamps
Durable, adjustable RimGuard™ wheel clamps are made from hardened steel and accommodate wheels from 9" up to 30", featuring internal and external multi‐teeth jaws with vertical mounting bolts that make replacement fast and simple. Versatile clamp positioning allows for improved control when clamping wheels—position clamps exactly where you need them within the entire clamping range. No need for the clamps to cycle the full range.
Easier Bead Lubrication
A geometric tabletop makes bead lubrication easy. Operators are able to visibly inspect the lower bead during tire mounting and inflation, improving safety and control.
Advanced Bead-Breaker Design
A completely new and proprietary adjustable pneumatic blade bead-breaker design features bilateral pneumatic accelerators for lightning-fast bead-breaker speeds in both directions. A 100% stainless steel cylinder body means no more worrying about moisture contamination from corrosion. Other exclusive design features include a multi-axis, adjustable blade for multi-angle tire capacity, a large dual-flange axle that eliminates blade flex and premature failure, and adjustable blade settings that help accommodate a larger variety of tire and wheel combinations. The enhanced bead-breaker blade features rugged box frame construction that increases mechanical strength, service life, and overall performance. A large rubber bump-stop assures smooth return to help reduce shock loading and minimize wear on the pneumatic cylinder, guides, and associated moving parts.
Balanced Flywheel
A balanced flywheel reduces vibrations during operation, as well as stress on the machine as a whole. Well-balanced flywheels keep our tire changers running smoothly for years of zero or low-maintenance operation.
Simple Foot-Pedal Control
Rather than heavy, clunky cast iron, we make our foot pedals from forged steel that is durable enough for daily use in fast-paced shops and tire centers. The snap-action spring return offers extremely accurate and safe operation, while the foot-pedal control valves are complete with multi-link rod connections for non-binding plunger movement and precise bilateral control.
Right-Side Tower Drop-Center Design
The right-side single-tower assist features a multi-profile traveling drop-center tool that holds stubborn sidewalls in the drop-center area of the wheel for swift, precise mounting. A single lower-bead lifting disc (bead lifting roller) can be used to unseat stubborn lower beads or to elevate tires for tool placement. A power-drop top bead assist roller helps hold difficult top beads in place during removal and installation of tough sidewall tires. These important tire shop tools dramatically reduce the effort required to change difficult, low-profile tires and help minimize operator fatigue. Upfront trigger control and articulating arm allow for variable tire and wheel configurations. A heavy-duty, tri-flange, cast-iron assist tower carriage features linear way bearings for maintenance-free operation.
Tilt-Back Tower Design
Ranger uses a tilt-back tower design for this tire changer because it offers more ground clearance, as well as easier removal and inflation of tires. If you're using like sets of tires and wheels, a pneumatically locked tool head will remain in place on the tower return, allowing for more rapid setup on your next job.
Stainless Steel and Aluminum Pneumatic Cylinders
All dual pneumatic cylinders prevent the tire changer from overly vibrating, reducing friction and contributing to the long lifespan of the equipment. End-of-stroke cushions are included to extend the life of all seals, as well as the wear band and piston rods. The entire cylinder system on the tire changer is self-lubricating and low-maintenance throughout the course of ownership.
Multi-Function Mount and Demount Head
The equi-dimensional shape of the hardened-steel alloy-steel mount/demount head lets you change functions without moving the tool head. The remarkably smooth surface gently glides tire beads during mounting/demounting and prevents expensive tire damage. Additionally, a nylon tool head comes standard—protect your customers' expensive alloy rims and wheels from marring or damage when mounting with our durable nylon tool head that comes as a standard accessory.
Spring-Assisted Tool Shaft
In order to prevent wheel damage, Ranger's mount/demount tool heads feature hardened-steel horizontal outrigger support arms, as well as a rigid 45 mm spring-assisted hexagonal vertical tool shaft. These standard features keep the tool head in the precise position you set it during service, with pneumatic locking to hold position.
Guide Bearings for All Moving Parts
Ranger takes special care of all moving parts in our tire changers. Linear guide bearings make it easy to adjust both vertical and horizontal wheel settings. The horizontal arm's hardened lower roller guide assists in maintaining an even tempo for the arm's oscillating movements. Durable rubber bump-stops ensure a safe return during tilt-back operations and lessen shock loading. Wear is minimal on tower guides and other moving parts.
Foot-Controlled Tire Inflator
Tire changers require two hands to operate, so we keep both of your hands free with our easy-to-use foot pedal tire inflator. The inflation system includes an inflation gauge, integrated air dump valve, and inflation pressure regulator/limiter for controlled, safe inflation. A push-button air pressure dump valve is integrated into the unit, letting you release tire pressure as necessary.
TurboBlast™ Bead Seating System
Ranger's TurboBlast™ bead seating system efficiently shoots a burst of air between the tire and rim, thus seating beads quickly without doing damage to the tire structure. For a more controlled air discharge, the system features a nylon discharge barrel with a contoured tab that locks against the rim—one of the most powerful bead seating systems available.
Air System Components & Standard Accessories
The R76ATR-L comes fully equipped with professional-grade air system components, including a water filter, oiler/lubricator, and air regulator to ensure consistent performance. Standard accessories include a bead tool/tire iron, large soap bucket, soap brush, and convenient tool tray/bin storage to keep your workspace organized and efficient.

Supersedes DST30P
Laser-Guided Wheel Balancing for Faster, More Accurate Results
The Ranger DST30PX is engineered for shops that demand speed, precision, and consistency without wasted time. Featuring true one-spin balancing, advanced digital sensor technology, and a dual-laser guidance system that adapts to your selected mode, this balancer delivers exact weight placement on the first attempt. Whether you're servicing everyday vehicles or high-end alloy wheels, the DST30PX eliminates guesswork and reduces rework—providing faster, cleaner, and more efficient balancing from the start.
One-Spin Dual-Laser Precision for Exact Weight Placement
Experienced technicians know that the real challenge begins after the spin—when precise weight placement determines whether the job is done or repeated. The DST30PX is designed to remove that uncertainty entirely.
Its integrated dual-laser guidance system pinpoints the exact location for correction weights, eliminating the need for estimation or manual reference checks. Instead of chasing positions, the system projects a clear laser indicator directly onto the wheel, showing you exactly where to place the weight.
The DST30PX utilizes two laser positions—one at the 12 o’clock position and one at the 6 o’clock position—and intelligently activates the appropriate laser based on the selected balancing mode. Only one laser operates at a time, ensuring accurate guidance tailored to the application.
In DYN (dynamic) and STAT (static) modes, the upper laser directs traditional weight placement with precision. Once imbalance is calculated, the system immediately marks the exact correction point, allowing technicians to place weights confidently and move on without hesitation.
The result is faster workflow, reduced repeat spins, and consistently accurate balancing—every time.
Adaptive Laser Guidance in ALU Mode for Hidden Weight Placement
Switch over to ALU mode, and the DST30PX instantly adapts to the job at hand. The lower laser activates, projecting directly onto the inner barrel of the wheel—exactly where adhesive weights are typically installed on alloy wheels.
These placements are often hidden behind spokes or positioned out of direct view, making them difficult to judge from above. Instead of repositioning the wheel or guessing around obstructions, the DST30PX provides a clear, illuminated target right where the weight needs to go.
The result is cleaner installations, faster workflow, and fewer repeat spins.
Built for Modern Wheels and Demanding Workflows
Today’s wheels are larger, more complex, and far less forgiving when it comes to visible weight placement. Customers expect a perfectly balanced ride without compromising the appearance of their wheels—and the DST30PX is built to deliver exactly that..
Designed to handle a wide range of wheel and tire assemblies, the DST30PX maintains its laser-guided precision whether you're working on standard passenger vehicles or larger, heavier setups.
In a busy shop, speed and accuracy aren’t optional—they’re essential. The DST30PX transforms one of the most critical steps in the balancing process into one of the easiest, helping your shop stay efficient, professional, and ahead of the curve.
Direct-Drive System for Reliable, Low-Maintenance Performance
The DST30PX features a Direct-Axis drive system designed to keep your shop running smoothly day after day. Its simplified single-belt design connects the motor directly to the unbalance sensor, reducing mechanical complexity while improving long-term reliability. With fewer moving parts to service, this system helps minimize downtime and lowers overall maintenance costs—making it a dependable solution for high-volume shop environments.
Advanced Digital Sensor Technology for High-Accuracy Balancing
Built for precision and efficiency, the DST30PX maximizes weight placement accuracy while maintaining a compact, cost-effective design. It comes equipped with dynamic (DYN), static (STAT), and ALU balancing modes, along with dual-plane calibration to accommodate both OEM and performance wheel setups.
At the core of the system is Ranger’s advanced Digital Sensor Technology, powered by a 16-digit processor and single-chip architecture. This setup enables faster data processing, improved measurement accuracy, and reduced latency during operation. A dedicated high-speed communication protocol ensures rapid data transfer to the microprocessor, while the single-chip design enhances heat dissipation and overall power efficiency.
The result is a smarter, faster wheel balancer built to handle the demands of modern vehicles with consistent, reliable precision.
Multi-Directional Quartz Sensors for Precise Imbalance Detection
The DST30PX doesn’t just detect imbalance—it analyzes it at a deeper level. At the core of the system is a multi-directional quartz sensor array that measures how a wheel truly behaves in motion. Instead of simply identifying where a wheel wobbles, it captures how forces move through the entire assembly—forward, lateral, and rotational—in real time.
Modern wheel and tire combinations generate complex, overlapping forces that traditional systems often struggle to interpret. That’s why the DST30PX utilizes advanced quartz piezoelectric sensors, one of the most responsive materials used in precision measurement. The instant force is applied to the crystal, it generates a signal immediately, allowing the system to detect even the smallest irregularities that other balancers might miss.
Unlike conventional systems that analyze imbalance in separate steps, the DST30PX processes multiple directional inputs simultaneously. This gives technicians a complete picture of the imbalance, identifying exactly where the issue exists and how to correct it with precision.
No chasing. No stacking weights. No second-guessing—just accurate data that leads to accurate results.
Designed for Modern Wheels and High-Performance Demands
Precision matters more than ever in today’s shop environment. Wheels are wider, heavier, and built to tighter tolerances, while tires feature stiffer sidewalls and lower profiles that leave little room for error.
The DST30PX is built for this new reality, giving technicians the clarity and confidence to get the job done right the first time. The result is fewer corrections, reduced cycle times, and a more efficient workflow—helping your shop move vehicles through the bay faster while maintaining professional, high-quality results.
Full Vibration Signature Capture for Pinpoint Accuracys
The DST30PX captures the complete vibration signature of a spinning wheel, delivering precise, real-time data that ensures accurate corrections on every job. By analyzing the full range of forces acting on the assembly, it provides technicians with unmatched clarity and confidence during the balancing process.
Quick and Precise Setup for Maximum Efficiencys
Designed for speed and ease of use, the DST30PX includes a full range of hardened-steel mounting collets to accommodate virtually any wheel type, including most passenger vehicles, light trucks, and SUVs. A rubber quick-nut bell adapter and non-marring rear pressure cup securely hold wheels in place without damaging finishes—keeping your workflow both fast and professional.
Complete Mounting Collet Package for Versatile Compatibilitys
The DST30PX comes standard with a comprehensive collet package to handle a wide range of applications. It includes three smaller collets covering 2" to 3.8", along with a heavy-duty truck collet for hub sizes from 3.7" to 4.4". The 4.5" to 5" truck collet, previously optional, is now included as standard equipment.
For larger hub sizes, an optional double-sided centering truck collet kit expands capability to accommodate hubs from 4.75" to 6.75". Whether working with OEM wheels or aftermarket setups, this balancer is equipped to handle the job.
LED Weight Placement Display for Real-Time Accuracys
Bright, easy-to-read LED displays indicate exact weight placement positions as the wheel rotates to top-dead-center. Paired with an upgraded 64-tooth encoder, the system delivers faster, more responsive, and highly accurate readouts—helping eliminate guesswork during operation.
64-Tooth Encoder for Enhanced Precision and Efficiencys
The advanced 64-tooth encoder improves calculation accuracy, allowing for more precise weight placement while often reducing the total weight required. This results in less material waste, faster cycle times, and improved overall shop efficiency.
