The CPS FA1000 represents the pinnacle of professional R134a recovery, recycling, and recharging technology for mobile A/C systems. Designed and built to meet SAE J2788 and SAE J2911 standards as required by the USEPA, this deluxe workstation integrates CPS's latest patent-pending innovations with state-of-the-art features that dramatically improve reliability, performance, and service speed. The unit is also approved for High Voltage (Hybrid) AC systems, making it future-ready for the evolving automotive landscape. With its large graphic LCD display featuring multi-language support, integrated manifold gauge set, and highly accurate electronic charge scale, the FA1000 delivers professional-grade results with intuitive operation—no manual valves to open or close.
The FA1000 automatically recovers, recycles, evacuates, and recharges mobile A/C systems with exceptional efficiency. Simply connect the service hoses to the vehicle's A/C system, select the desired operation on the intuitive graphic LCD screen, and allow the unit to automatically complete the entire A/C service cycle. The machine does the work—you maintain control.
The FA1000 utilizes a single-pass recycling system, meaning that whenever the unit recovers refrigerant, it simultaneously recycles it for maximum efficiency. The unit also incorporates an automatic air purge to remove unwanted non-condensable gases from the refrigerant, ensuring pure, clean R134a is returned to the vehicle. This advanced filtration process uses a 41 cubic inch cartridge-type filter drier mounted directly on the storage cylinder for optimal moisture removal and weight accuracy.
At the heart of the FA1000's superior performance is CPS's patented motorized ball valve technology. These motorized ball valves are unique in the industry—they automatically control high and low side, recovery, and vacuum operations, and they will not be affected by sealants, particulates, or other contaminants that plague traditional solenoid valves. The FA1000 uses no solenoid or check valves in the active flow path during recovery or evacuation, resulting in significantly faster service speeds and greater long-term reliability.
The unit's patent-pending two-cylinder oil-less compressor is a game-changer. Being oil-free, there is no compressor oil maintenance required and no oil return system needed. This dramatically improves reliability, reduces maintenance costs, and enhances overall performance. Combined with a separate vacuum pump for faster evacuations, the FA1000 recovers and evacuates through both high and low side service hoses, cutting service time and maximizing shop productivity.
The FA1000 is packed with intelligent design features that set it apart from the competition. The microprocessor-integrated mass flow system keeps track of how much refrigerant has run through the filter drier, giving you the maximum amount of run time on each filter—up to 150 lbs per filter—while ensuring optimal performance. An automatic high-pressure shut-off at 30 bar (450 psig) with microprocessor indication protects your equipment and your technicians.
The unit's modular design makes maintenance and repairs faster and more cost-effective. Individual subsystems—plumbing, scale, electronics, compressor, or vacuum pump—can be easily replaced without extensive disassembly. The interchangeable CPS recovery cylinders allow you to use your country's approved refrigerant cylinders, and the software enables you to set up the proper recovery tank and refrigerant parameters. Larger cylinders, such as the CPS CRX390T, can be used for larger truck and bus A/C systems, adding versatility to your service capabilities.
For hybrid and electric vehicle servicing, the FA1000 is equipped with the Hybrid hose flush block to clear service hoses of residual oil, meeting SAE J2788H compliance requirements. This ensures safe, effective service on high-voltage compressor systems. Additional features include oil injection on either or both the high and low side, refrigerant charging on either or both sides, and a programmed electrical outlet for optional heater blanket installation for cold-weather operation.
The FA1000 features heavy-duty construction with a powder-coated steel cabinet mounted onto a 1-inch tubular steel frame. The unit is built to withstand the rigors of daily professional use. Superior mobility is provided by 10-inch foam-filled rear wheels and 4-inch swivel casters, giving this unit excellent maneuverability even under the worst shop conditions—over hoses, cords, and uneven surfaces.
The FA1000 arrives ready to use—no assembly required. It includes a 50 lb DOT tank and 8-foot service hoses (additional hose lengths are available). With compact dimensions of 22" W x 24.5" D x 42" H and a robust construction, the FA1000 fits comfortably in any bay while providing the power and performance of a much larger system.
