The Atlas® 9OHSC incorporates a single piece 11' 10" formed column and an extra long 57½" carriage that provides maximum column and arm strength to lift and support a full 9,000 lb. vehicle with confidence. Important: The single piece columns require a minimum ceiling height of 12 feet to stand up the column during installation. The combination of single-piece construction and the longer carriage design creates superior rigidity and stability under load.

Understanding LMA Capacity & Safe Operation
Please read the following before using the Atlas® LMA with your lift:
The Atlas® LMA is designed to work with two post above ground lifts with symmetric arms. Several factors determine the safe weight capacity of the LMA on your lift. Understanding these guidelines ensures safe lifting of all specialty vehicles and lawn service equipment.
The principle behind two post lifting is simple: each of the four lift arms on a two post lift supports an equal portion of the total weight. On a TRUE 8,000 lb. two post lift, each arm is capable of lifting and safely supporting 2,000 lbs. When lifting an 8,000 lb. vehicle, the weight needs to be evenly distributed across all four lifting points.
This same principle applies when using the Atlas® LMA as an accessory. You must distribute the weight as evenly as possible. First, consider the weight of the LMA itself (600 lbs.) and deduct this from the lifting capacity of your lift. An 8,000 lb. lift with a properly positioned LMA has a new effective lifting capacity of 7,400 lbs.
Critical Capacity Guidelines:
The longer the wheelbase of the vehicle to be lifted, the lower the lifting capacity of the LMA
At maximum wheelbase (90"): Deduct 3,000 lbs. from your lift's rated capacity
At minimum wheelbase (32"): Deduct 2,000 lbs. from your lift's rated capacity
The closer the LMA plates are to the vertical columns, the greater the lifting capacity
Different positions on lift arms may be required to keep wheel platforms stable and level
Example calculation: If using an 8,000 lb. two post lift with wheelbase dimensions set at 32", the new effective lifting capacity would be 6,000 lbs. If you position the LMA plates so the wheelbase is 90", the new lifting capacity would be 5,000 lbs.
If you're lifting a mower or vehicle that is extremely heavy on one end, position the LMA plate supporting the "heavy" end closer to the vertical column and extend the opposite LMA plate (supporting the "lighter" end) further out on the lift arm to accommodate the necessary wheelbase. This strategic positioning helps maintain proper weight distribution and safe lifting capacity.
