Atlas® Automotive Equipment ATTD-412/412A 24" Front Extension Kit
The Atlas® ATPK-40901 Front Extension Kit is the professional solution for extending your Atlas® ATPK-412 or ATPK-412A four post lift to accommodate longer-wheelbase vehicles. Engineered specifically for Atlas® four post lifts, this 24-inch front runway extension seamlessly bolts onto the front of your existing runways, expanding your lift's capacity from a 157-inch wheelbase to an impressive 181-inch wheelbase — that's a full 15 feet, 1 inch of vehicle length. Whether you're working on extended cab trucks, full-size vans, or classic long-wheelbase vehicles, this 300-pound extension kit delivers the extra reach you need without compromising the structural integrity or performance of your lift.
The Atlas® 40901 Front Extension Kit is purpose-built to integrate seamlessly with your Atlas® ATPK-412 and ATPK-412A four post lift models. This is not a universal or aftermarket adaptation — it's a genuine Atlas® Automotive Equipment component designed and engineered to match the exact specifications of your lift. The extension kit features a robust bolt-on design that attaches directly to the front of the runways, ensuring a secure and stable connection that maintains the safety standards you expect from Atlas®.
With the standard ATPK-412A configuration, you can accommodate vehicles with wheelbases up to 157 inches (13 feet, 1 inch). Add the ATPK-40901 extension, and your capacity jumps to 181 inches (15 feet, 1 inch) — a full two-foot (24-inch) increase that opens the door to servicing larger trucks, vans, SUVs, and specialty vehicles that would otherwise exceed your lift's reach.
The 40901 extension is designed to extend past (in front of) the front crossbeam of your Atlas® four post lift. This design provides maximum wheelbase coverage, but it's critical to understand how this configuration affects the use of optional rolling jacks. The rolling jacks will not roll past the front crossbeam, which means you must carefully plan vehicle positioning based on where you need to lift.
Rolling Jack Positioning Requirements:
If you need to lift the FRONT of the vehicle: Ensure that the front lift points of the vehicle are positioned behind the front crossbeam. The rolling jack will not travel past the crossbeam into the extended runway area.
Alternative approach: Backing the vehicle onto the lift eliminates the front crossbeam as an obstacle for the front rolling jack — but be aware this will now affect access for the rear rolling jack.
Understanding these positioning requirements ensures you can plan your workflow effectively and take full advantage of the extended wheelbase capacity while maintaining safe and efficient lifting operations.
