BendPak engineered the HDSO14-AX alignment lift without a front crossbar, creating unrestricted access beneath the vehicle from the front. This open-front design transforms the way technicians perform front-end adjustments—no more crawling around obstacles or working in cramped spaces. Entry and exit are fast and effortless, making this lift a must-have for high-volume alignment bays where speed and comfort directly impact profitability. The patented adjustable front outrigger tubes provide infinitely adjustable pitch compensation, ensuring precise front-lift leveling even on sloped floors or when handling excessive front-axle loads.
With a maximum lifting capacity of 14,000 lbs. (7,000 lbs. per axle), a 70-inch max rise, and 60-second full-rise time, the HDSO14-AX handles everything from compact cars to full-size trucks with ease. The lift offers 13 locking positions spaced every 4 inches, giving technicians the flexibility to work at the height that's most comfortable and efficient for them.
Integrated Alignment Accessories for Precision Adjustments
The HDSO14-AX comes standard with heavy-duty turn plates and integrated rear slip-plates, enabling precise, free-floating alignment work without the need to purchase separate equipment. The rear-facing multi-caster slip plates and front-facing turn plates allow wheels to move naturally during alignment procedures, ensuring accurate readings and adjustments.
The lift features two recessed turn plate pockets with multiple positioning options, so you can freely position the corrosion-resistant, galvanized turn plates to accommodate different vehicle wheelbases and configurations. The HDSO14-AX supports four-wheel alignment for wheelbases ranging from 89 inches (minimum) to 156 inches (maximum), and two-wheel alignment up to 182 inches. For optimal safety, the lift requires a minimum wheelbase of 140 inches at rated capacity, with reduced capacity ratings available for shorter wheelbases down to 80 inches at 25% capacity.

BendPak builds every HDSO14-AX to last. The lift features dual-hub cable sheaves—oversized 10.5-inch diameter sheaves mounted on robust 2.25-inch diameter axles—housed within the runway and cross tubes. These heavy-duty components keep your lift running smoothly for years, long after competing brands have required costly repairs or replacements.
Four aircraft-quality steel cables measuring 1/2-inch diameter (6 x 25 construction) run within the columns, setting the ultimate standard for high-quality cable construction and safe lifting. These cables connect to rugged 1-3/8-inch roller axles and oversize self-lubricating cable sheaves, all fully enclosed within the structure to protect against damage and wear.
The lift's multi-position safety locks in each column feature spring-loaded engagement that automatically engages as the platforms ascend. This design also helps keep the platforms level, even on slightly uneven floors. A push-button pneumatic lock release system disengages all locks simultaneously for smooth, even descent. BendPak also includes a secondary lock system that acts as a backup: if cable slack is detected, the system immediately grabs the cable and halts operation, protecting both your vehicle and your investment.
Should the hydraulics ever lose pressure—an extraordinary event—the built-in hydraulic flow restrictor ensures a safe, controlled descent at all times. Internal "Anti-Sway" UHMW slider blocks in each column further stabilize the lift and reduce lateral movement during operation.
Electric-Hydraulic Power System and Low Maintenance Design
The electric-hydraulic power system on the HDSO14-AX operates on 220 VAC / 60 Hz / 1-Phase power and requires no regular maintenance or adjustments. A single hydraulic cylinder mounted underneath the runway provides smooth, reliable lifting with minimal noise—just 45 dB during operation. The system is so easy and safe to use that it's equally at home in busy commercial shops or professional home garages.
Grease fittings are strategically positioned throughout the lift to keep cable sheaves and moving parts properly lubricated. This built-in lubrication system ensures long-term productivity and safety without constant attention. All cables, cable sheaves, and airlines run internally throughout the lift structure, protecting the most critical components from damage and keeping the overall design clean and professional-looking.
The lift's automatic leveling system and adjustable locking positions make it easy for different technicians to work at their preferred height. Since it's an open-front design, getting underneath is quick and comfortable no matter the operator's size.
Important: An air supply (minimum: 30 psi / 3 CFM) is required for the safety-lock mechanisms to disengage. It is the responsibility of the end-user to provide, install, and maintain the air supply.
Operator Convenience and Vehicle Protection
BendPak designed the HDSO14-AX with the operator in mind. The 199-inch long runways feature a non-skid treaded surface that prevents wheel slippage even when platforms get oily, slick, or wet. The runways are 20.5 inches wide with 45 inches of space between them, providing ample clearance for a wide variety of vehicle types.
Longer approach ramps make loading low ground-clearance vehicles safer and easier—no more scraping undercarriages or struggling to modulate the gas pedal. Vehicles glide smoothly onto the lift without drama or risk. The runways also include a rail-kit for optional accessories, giving you the flexibility to add rolling jacks, drip trays, or other equipment as your shop's needs evolve.
Flexible protective conduit surrounds all airlines and hydraulic hoses, preventing damage to cables and protecting operators from electrical shock. The lift's minimum runway height is just 7.625 inches, while the max lifting height reaches 77.625 inches, giving you plenty of working room underneath for alignment adjustments, undercarriage inspections, and more.
Optional Rolling Bridge Jacks – Maximize Your Investment
Transform your HDSO14-AX alignment lift into an all-purpose service lift by adding optional 7,000-lb. capacity rolling bridge jacks (Model RBJ7000). These jacks allow you to perform wheel service, brake work, suspension repairs, and alignments all on the same lift—no need to transfer the vehicle to a different bay. Change brake rotors, swap wheels, or replace suspension components right before you align, all without moving the car. Any failure that results from Purchaser’s abuse, neglect or failure to operate, maintain or service product in accordance with instructions provided in the owner’s manual(s) supplied
Any damage caused by overloading Product beyond rated capacity
Items or service normally required to maintain the product, i.e. lubricants, oil, etc.
Items considered general wear parts such as rubber pads, lifting cables, etc. unless wear or failure is a direct result of manufacturer defect due to material and/or workmanship
Any component damaged in shipment or any failure caused by installing or operating lift under conditions not in accordance with installation and operation guidelines or damaged by contact with tools or surroundings
Motor or pump failure caused by rain, excessive humidity, corrosive environments or other contaminants
Rusted components due to improper maintenance or corrosive environments
Cosmetic defects that do not interfere with product functionality
Damage due to incorrect voltage or improper wiring
Any failure that results from improper installation or use not according to specifications
Damage caused by disasters such as fire, flood, wind, and lightning
Damage caused by unauthorized attachments or modifications
Responsibilities of Warrantor under this warranty: Repair or replace, at Warrantor’s option, component which is defective, has malfunctioned and/or failed to conform within duration of the warranty period. BendPak Inc. will pay reasonable labor costs for the first 12 months only
Responsibilities of Purchaser under this warranty:
Provide dated proof of purchase and maintenance records
In some cases, components may be required to be shipped to the nearest BendPak Authorized Service Center. Freight costs, after 12-months, must be borne by the Purchaser.
Use reasonable care in the operation and maintenance of the products as described in the owner’s manual(s).
Immediately upon receipt of the Product, Purchaser shall inspect the same. Any claim for shortage must be made within ten days after Purchaser's receipt. All other claims, including claims for alleged defective Product, must be made within fifteen days after Purchaser learns of the facts upon which such claim is based, but in no event later than the applicable one, two or five year period specified above for the specified component(s). All claims not made in writing and received by Seller within the time periods specified above shall be deemed waived. With respect to any defects incapable of discovery until in use, all claims for any
damages or losses as a result of such defects shall be deemed waived unless made in writing and received by Seller within fifteen days after Purchaser learns of the alleged defect giving rise to the claim and after the expiration of said periods, but in no event later than the applicable one, two or five year period specified above for the specified component(s). Purchaser expressly assumes all liability for all such damages or losses, irrespective of any use which shall have taken place or whether the alleged defect shall have occurred or been discovered prior to expiration of such periods.
When Warrantor will perform repair or replacement under this warranty: Repair or replacement will be scheduled and serviced according to the normal work flow at the servicing location, and depending on the availability of replacement parts.
