Engineered and manufactured in the U.S.A., the EMAX ES10V080V1 10HP 2-Stage Industrial Air Compressor represents a breakthrough in industrial compressed air technology. Featuring the revolutionary Whisper 100 noise suppression system, this 80-gallon vertical tank compressor reduces stationary compressor noise levels by as much as 25% compared to conventional designs. Delivering 38 CFM @ 100 PSI with a maximum working pressure of 175 PSI, this unit is designed for demanding garage, farm shop, and industrial applications where performance, durability, and quiet operation are essential. Certified to UL, CSA, ASME, and ETL standards, this compressor is built for up to 70,000 hours of industrial use with proper maintenance.
The Whisper 100 noise suppression system was first conceived by EMAX engineers after feedback from competitor compressor users revealed widespread complaints regarding extreme noise levels in work environments. Stationary air compressor noise typically requires owners to incur the added expense of constructing a separate building or structure to house the compressor in an attempt to reduce workplace noise. The EMAX Whisper series eliminates this need entirely. This compressor can be installed and operated directly in all garage, farm shop, and industrial applications without requiring expensive and often inadequate separate enclosures.
The Whisper system dissipates compressor intake noise by channeling intake air through a series of baffle plates and pre-filter media within the silencer cabinet. As a result, piston intake noise is trapped and dissipated within the silencer structure. The system also acts as a secondary filtration stage for cleaner air delivery. The silencer assembly is already installed on the back of the tank with fabricated brackets designed for easy removal and a low profile.
Our Industrial Series offers all the same quality and durability as our Plus series without the extra cost of added features. We offer this series so that anyone can afford to have an EMAX Compressor. This 10 HP 2-Stage Inline Single Phase Vertical 80 Gallon Piston Air Compressor features our low RPM pumps and automatic or continuous run functionality. This unit is SUPER COOL & SUPER QUIET!
Key Performance Highlights:
At the core of our EMAX compressors is our pump. These pumps are SUPER quiet in operation and built to last! We start with a solid cast iron crankcase. Unlike some competitors' aluminum body crankcases, our solid cast iron crankcase ensures stable crankshaft alignment and handles significantly more workload under heavy load conditions.
Our APP4V1043TP pump model features a precision balanced solid cast iron crankshaft with Timken-Style stainless steel roller bearings on both the front and rear of the crankshaft to ensure smooth, efficient operation with less drag and reduced energy consumption. With a 2.5 quart oil capacity and built-in oil sight glass, maintenance monitoring is simple and straightforward.
Our pumps feature several key components that ensure durability and performance:
Bottom Line: Not only do we have one of the highest quality, most durable compressor pumps in the industry, but we have one of the lowest RPM compressor pumps on the market. That's the EMAX difference!
Pump RPM is a critical factor in both performance and longevity. For that reason, on most of our compressors, we normally "GO BIG" by over-sizing our pumps and running them at lower RPMs than most manufacturers. Our bigger, 800 RPM pump can still yield high CFM output because both our bore and stroke are bigger. Not only do you get big CFM output, but the lower RPM operation also reduces friction and heat buildup to extend pump life significantly!
This unit features a name brand ODP (Open Drip Protected) motor backed by a 5-year warranty. Most importantly, this is a low RPM motor (1,750 RPM) – most manufacturers now use higher RPM motors (3,450 RPM). 1,750 RPM motors run much cooler than 3,450 RPM motors because of the higher torque factor. They also yield low harmonic distortion, provide much higher torque in cold weather starting, and require less electricity under start conditions.
Additional Motor Features:
At EMAX we are always concerned about durability and your safety in everything we build. Along with this philosophy, our 80-gallon vertical air tanks are manufactured right here in the USA and are ASME code compliant in all 50 states including California. The tank features a 3/4" outlet and manual drain system for reliable operation. With dimensions of 38" L x 42" W x 72" H and weighing 810 lbs, this is a robust, stable platform for continuous industrial use.
We use taper lock style 2-groove pulleys (not single groove) and dual 2-groove, B-Style belts to drive our pumps. This combination is best for a couple of reasons.
First, dual belts ensure long belt life and yield low vibration which makes for smoother, more quiet operation because the dual belts do not have to be as tight as with a single belt setup. The tighter the belts (as with a single belt setup) the more load on the compressor pump and motor bearings which decreases the life of both.
Second, our taper lock pulleys are much better than a fixed bore pulley with a set screw. A taper lock design locks the pulley in position to the motor shaft allowing it not to loosen or move on the motor shaft.
We at EMAX Compressor are always concerned about durability and your safety. Our belt guards are no exception. Built right here in the USA with 13-gauge steel and premium grade expanded metal, we manufacture our belt guards to be tougher than any you will find in the industry today. For your safety, our belt guards are OSHA approved.
This unit features a prewired Condor starter and pressure switch built into one unit with an actuation-type diaphragm. We at EMAX Compressor use only top quality components on our compressors:
