Heavy-duty 3/8" aircraft cable: Each lift is supplied with four high-quality stainless steel lifting cables rated at 14,400 lbs. each. The combined rating of these cables is 640% of the maximum lifting capacity of the entire lift! All lifting cables are fully enclosed within the lift structure itself for a clean, integrated look and added safety.
Multi-level locking positions: The HD-9SWX is equipped with 16 adjustable locking positions, one every 4", for variable-height parking and maximum flexibility. A convenient push-button pneumatic safety release disengages all four independent safety locks simultaneously for fast, safe operation.
Automatic safety locks: Spring-loaded safety locks made from aircraft-quality stainless steel and aluminum pneumatic cylinders automatically engage continuously as the lift is raised. For added protection, a secondary lock system acts as a slack-cable device to engage in the unlikely event of cable failure. Each column features adjustable lock ladders for precise positioning and security.
Independent backup slack-cable safety latches: In addition to the primary multi-position safety locks, each column is equipped with an independent backup latch system. This redundant safety feature provides an extra layer of protection and ensures the lift remains securely locked even in the case of an unexpected failure.
Single hydraulic cylinder with leak-proof technology: Each HD-9SWX lift is equipped with a single hydraulic cylinder, hidden away under the runway for minimum exposure and maximum reliable performance. Our industrial-grade hydraulic cylinders feature a single-piece, pilot-fitted, machined steel piston wrapped with specially designed, pressure-loaded U-cup piston seals, backups, and wear bands to virtually eliminate fluid bypass.
The micro-smooth chrome rod is machined from high-yield, ground and polished C-1045/50 micro-alloy steel and plated to a minimum of .001" diametrically to ensure superior cylinder operation and life. The superior-design, high-durometer, mechanically-loaded rod seals make rod leakage a thing of the past, while a specially formulated abrasion-resistant urethane rod wiper provides exclusion protection.
The welded cylinder body is made from robust steel tubing produced to exceed ASTM specifications. This combination of superb base material and superior processing ensures that the cylinders remain straight, smooth, and last a very long time. An integrated flow restrictor provides a controlled descent in the case of an unexpected hose rupture.
Durable powder-coat finish: All HD-Series lifts feature a durable New Gray powder-coat finish that gives the metal a high-quality, extremely durable surface which can withstand even the harshest environmental or chemical conditions. Unlike other companies that claim to powder coat, we take pride in our meticulous 10-step powder-coating process.
First, all parts are visually inspected before being sandblasted. Afterward, the parts are washed in our 5-stage phosphate tanks that can accommodate parts up to 25 feet long. Once cleaned, they're immediately dried to avoid rust production, then outgassed. Outgassing pre-bakes the parts in a curing oven, reducing the possibility of blemishes that may be hiding in the pores of the metal. After the parts are washed and outgassed, any surfaces and threaded holes that need to be masked or plugged are done so with high-temperature masking tape and silicone plugs. Next, the parts are given a quick thinner wipe to remove any light debris or fingerprints before being hung on an electrostatically grounded conveyor line. The powder is finally applied using an electrostatic spray gun, and once the parts are powder coated, the carts are rolled into our curing oven and baked at 400°F for 45 minutes.

Integrated, enclosed design: Lifting cables, airlines, safety latches, and sheaves are all fully enclosed within the lift structure. This integrated design protects critical components from damage, keeps your workspace clean and professional, and eliminates pinch points for safer operation.
Internal anti-sway slider blocks: Each column is equipped with internal anti-sway slider blocks that ensure smooth, stable lifting and prevent side-to-side movement during operation. This keeps your vehicles secure and stable throughout the entire lifting cycle.
Low 7" minimum runway height: The low-profile runway design accommodates even the lowest ground-clearance vehicles, making it easy to load sports cars, exotics, and other low-slung vehicles without scraping.
Extra-long 48" aluminum approach ramps included: Each HD-9SWX comes standard with a pair of 48" extended aluminum ramps (Part #5174670) designed to help when loading low ground-clearance vehicles. It's the little bit that makes a big difference, providing a gentler approach angle for exotic and lowered vehicles.
Removable approach ramps: The included ramps are fully removable, providing additional drive-under clearance when needed. Optional drive-thru ramps are also available for added versatility.
Non-skid runway surface: All four runways feature a non-skid surface for secure vehicle positioning and operator safety, even in wet or oily conditions.
Adjustable runways for different tread widths: The inside runways adjust to accommodate vehicles with different tread widths, providing the ultimate flexibility for varied vehicle types. Runway centerlines can be set at either 56" or 61", with 37" or 42" width between runways.
Runways include rail-kit for optional accessories: Each runway is equipped with integrated rail-mounting points, making it easy to add optional accessories like 4,500-lb. air-hydraulic rolling jacks, drip trays, and other BendPak accessories.
Customizable power unit location: The power unit can be positioned on either side of the lift during installation, giving you the flexibility to optimize your workspace layout and electrical connections.
Optional accessories expand functionality: Add optional solid decks to increase storage capacity, optional drip trays to protect vehicles and flooring from leaks, or optional 4,500-lb. air-hydraulic rolling jacks to turn your storage lift into a full-service platform.
