The Ranger R80EX Tire Changer is the heavy-duty tire service component of this package, delivering the additional control and assistance needed for demanding tire mounting and demounting applications.
Its tilt-back configuration provides convenient access to the wheel assembly, while the dual-tower assist system helps technicians work with difficult tire beads and stiff sidewalls. This combination makes the R80EX an excellent choice for shops that regularly service modern passenger vehicles, performance wheels, SUVs, and compatible light trucks.
For facilities upgrading from a basic swing-arm tire changer, the R80EX provides a more capable platform for handling challenging tire-and-wheel combinations while maintaining an efficient daily service workflow.
Dual-Tower Assist System for Challenging Tire Assemblies
The R80EX features a dual-tower assist system designed to provide additional support during tire mounting and demounting operations.
Assist technology is especially beneficial when servicing tires with stiff sidewalls, low-profile designs, and other challenging bead configurations. By helping technicians control tire positioning and bead movement, the assist system can reduce manual effort and support a more controlled tire-changing process.
This additional capability makes the R80EX particularly valuable for professional shops servicing a wide variety of modern tire-and-wheel combinations.
Tilt-Back Design for Efficient Tire Service
The tilt-back design allows the tire changer's operating assembly to move away from the wheel, providing convenient access during tire installation and removal.
This configuration helps streamline tire service by allowing technicians to position and remove wheel assemblies more easily. Combined with the dual-tower assist system, the R80EX provides a practical solution for busy service bays where efficiency and operator control are important.
Professional Tire-Changing Capability for Modern Vehicles
The Ranger R80EX is designed for shops that need more than basic tire-changing equipment. Its advanced configuration supports a wide range of compatible tire service applications, including:
- Passenger Car Tire Mounting and Demounting
- Performance Vehicle Tire Service
- Low-Profile Tire Applications
- Compatible Stiff-Sidewall Tire Assemblies
- SUV Tire Service
- Compatible Light Truck Tire Service
- Routine Tire Replacement and Wheel Maintenance
Actual tire and wheel compatibility depends on the machine's published operating specifications and any required accessories.
Ranger DST30PX Digital Wheel Balancer
Need help with installation? Our AI assistant has read this installation manual and can help you find the right page and walk you through each step.
The Ranger DST30PX Wheel Balancer complements the R80EX by providing professional digital wheel balancing for everyday automotive service applications.
After mounting a tire with the R80EX, technicians can transfer the wheel assembly to the DST30PX to measure imbalance and determine the necessary balancing corrections.
Designed for shops seeking dependable balancing accuracy without the added complexity of premium sonar and laser-guided systems, the DST30PX offers a practical balance of precision, efficiency, and value.
64-Tooth Magnetic Encoder for Precise Wheel Balancing
The DST30PX features a 64-tooth magnetic encoder that supports precise rotational position measurement during the balancing process.
Accurate position measurement helps the machine identify wheel imbalance and supports consistent weight placement and correction. This technology provides a dependable foundation for professional wheel balancing across a variety of compatible passenger vehicle and light truck wheel assemblies.
For busy repair shops, repeatable balancing results help support efficient service and consistent wheel maintenance quality.
Included Tape Wheel Weights for Added Convenience
This Ranger combo includes tape wheel weights to support the wheel balancing process.
Having balancing weights available alongside the equipment helps technicians begin performing common wheel balancing corrections without sourcing all initial supplies separately.
Tape weights are commonly used for compatible wheel balancing applications where adhesive weight placement is preferred. Confirm the included weight quantity and specifications for the selected package.
