The Sure-Grip® EX Flammable Safety Cabinet provides secure, code-compliant storage for flammable fuels, solvents, chemicals, and other hazardous liquids, helping facilities protect workers, reduce fire risks, and maintain an organized, productive workspace. Designed to meet applicable OSHA and NFPA standards, Sure-Grip® EX cabinets are ideal for automotive shops, industrial facilities, laboratories, manufacturing operations, maintenance departments, and other workplaces that store flammable liquids.
Built for superior fire resistance and durability, each cabinet features rugged 18-gauge (1-mm) double-wall welded steel construction with a 1-1/2" (38-mm) insulating air space between the walls. High-performance self-latching doors close securely, while a dependable three-point stainless steel bullet latching system helps provide maximum protection under demanding conditions.
For added security, the U-Loc™ handle includes a cylinder lock and key set and can also accommodate an optional padlock. Highly visible Haz-Alert™ reflective warning labels improve cabinet identification and remain visible when illuminated by a flashlight during low-light conditions, power outages, or emergency situations.
Inside the cabinet, patented SpillSlope® galvanized steel shelves help direct accidental spills toward the back and into a leakproof 2" (51-mm) bottom sump for improved containment. Shelves adjust on 3" (76-mm) centers, allowing users to configure the interior for different container sizes and storage requirements.
Additional safety features include dual vents with flame arresters, four adjustable self-leveling feet, a grounding connector, and a trilingual warning label. A durable lead-free epoxy/polyester powder-coat finish provides excellent chemical resistance and helps protect the cabinet in demanding industrial and commercial environments.
Manual-close models feature doors that open a full 180 degrees for convenient access and self-latch securely when pushed closed. Self-close models automatically shut and latch when the fusible link melts at 165°F (74°C) during fire conditions. The concealed self-closing mechanism maintains unobstructed access to cabinet contents during normal use.
All available door styles are designed to meet OSHA and NFPA 30 requirements, while self-closing door configurations also meet NFPA 1 and International Fire Code requirements. Most Sure-Grip® EX cabinets are FM approved, and all models are backed by a 10-year warranty for added confidence in long-term performance.
