A two-post lift is the workhorse of most service bays. It raises the vehicle by the frame so the wheels hang free — perfect for brakes, suspension, exhaust, and general repair. We carry two-post lifts from BendPak, Atlas, AMGO, Katool, Challenger, Tuxedo and Nationwide, with free shipping on most models.
Choosing the right two-post lift
- Capacity — 9,000–10,000 lb covers most cars, SUVs and half-ton trucks; step up to 12,000–15,000 lb for heavy trucks and vans.
- Symmetric vs. asymmetric — asymmetric columns rotate for easier door clearance; symmetric centers heavier vehicles evenly.
- Overhead vs. floorplate — overhead (clearfloor) models keep the floor clear; floorplate models fit lower ceilings.
- Ceiling & concrete — confirm your ceiling height and at least 4" of solid concrete before ordering.
Frequently asked questions
What capacity do I need?
Match it to your heaviest vehicle. For a typical home garage, a 10,000 lb lift gives plenty of margin.
Do I need a special ceiling height?
Overhead models need more clearance; floorplate (low-ceiling) models exist for tight garages — measure first and we will help.
Will it work on my garage floor?
Most two-post lifts require 4–4.25" of good concrete. Send us your details and we will confirm.
