Associated 6042 12/24V Battery & Electrical System Tester 500 Amp Load w/Stand

The Professional 1000 CCA Battery, Starting & Charging System Tester is a heavy-duty diagnostic solution designed for automotive repair shops, fleet maintenance facilities, diesel service centers, and commercial vehicle technicians. Capable of testing batteries up to 1,000 Cold Cranking Amps (CCA), this advanced tester evaluates 12-volt and 24-volt electrical systems, providing accurate diagnostics for batteries, starters, alternators, and charging systems across virtually all vehicle types.

Featuring a 0–500 amp variable carbon pile load tester, the unit delivers precise battery load testing while its easy-to-read LCD display clearly interprets charging and starting system data for fast diagnosis. The tester also displays both positive and negative amperage, making it easy to identify parasitic battery drains and current leakage problems. Unique curved carbon disc technology provides maximum contact area, reduces hot spots, ensures smoother operation, and extends the service life of the carbon pile assembly.

Designed for professional shop environments, the tester includes heavy-duty single extruded test leads that allow accurate testing of remotely mounted batteries from distances up to 15 feet apart. It is compatible with all common battery types, making it an excellent choice for servicing passenger vehicles, commercial trucks, agricultural equipment, heavy machinery, marine applications, and fleet vehicles.

The complete kit includes the Model 6043 1000 Amp AC/DC Inductive Amp Clamp for measuring starter current draw and performing parasitic drain testing. The clamp can also be used with compatible digital multimeters for expanded diagnostic capabilities. A rugged two-wheel tilt-back service cart with 8-inch wheels and dual storage trays provides convenient mobility and organization throughout the shop.
