The Atlas® TC289 wheel clamp tire changer is an extremely versatile machine perfect for automotive service departments and medium-sized tire shops. While powerful enough to handle tires on large SUVs and one-ton trucks with a maximum tire diameter of 47", it truly shines with the included deluxe motorcycle adapters. This tire changer works with steel, aluminum, and alloy rims, ensuring you can service virtually any wheel that comes into your shop without worrying about damage to expensive finishes.
The design of the Atlas® wheel clamp tire changers prioritizes rim protection while delivering exceptional performance. The adjustable bead breaker located on the side of the machine delivers 5500 lbs. of force to break even the most stubborn and rusted beads without causing damage to the rim. The turntable jaws, which can be covered with the included plastic rim protectors, hold the rim securely without marring the surface. These jaws feature three adjustable mounting positions along the turntable slides, allowing you to increase or decrease the clamping range to accommodate different wheel sizes.
